Fire destroys Ashland house

Firefighters with the Southern Boone County Fire Protection District work to extinguish a house fire at 8703 Tom Bass Road in Ashland on Wednesday night. The fire took nearly two hours to contain.

ASHLAND — A three-bedroom house at 8703 Tom Bass Road burned to the ground Wednesday night after firefighters worked for nearly two hours to contain the blaze.

The Southern Boone County Fire Protection District was dispatched at 6:56 p.m. and firefighters were still mopping up at close to 9 p.m.
