Haith returns in Missouri win over Northwestern

LAS VEGAS — Missouri Coach Frank Haith returned from a five-game suspension and the Missouri men's basketball team defeated Northwestern 78-67 Thursday night in Las Vegas as part of the 2013 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational.

Missouri trailed 39-34 at halftime, but a 14-0 run to open the second half put the Tigers permanently ahead. Jordan Clarkson led the Tigers with 21 points.

The win improved Missouri to 6-0 on the season. The Tigers continue Invitational play Friday night against Nevada.
