Esther “Hoppy” Hopper, 83, of Columbia, MO, passed away November 25, 2013.

She was born November 16, 1930, in Boulder, CO.

In 1957, she married Keith Hopper in Kirksville, and he preceded her in death. Hoppy loved taking care of people as a wife, mother, grandma, and nurse’s assistant at Ellis Fischel for over 2 decades.

Hoppy is survived by her daughters: Lynne Noel (Larry) of Fulton, MO, and Janet McGee (Michael) of Columbia, MO; grandchildren: Jeff McGee, Brandi Wiles, Susan Lowrey, Ryan Noel, Jonathan Noel; 8 great-grandchildren, all of Columbia, MO, as well as sister-in-law, Wanda Hunker, and brother-in-law, Stephen Hunker.

In addition to her loving husband, Keith, she was preceded in death by her son, James Earl Hopper, two siblings: Alta Reimnitz and Dale Lea, and her parents.

Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Prairie Grove Baptist Church, Columbia, MO.
