Brenda Rae Mahoney of Hallsville, July 16, 1958 — Dec. 6, 2013

COLUMBIA — Brenda Rae Mahoney of Hallsville died at her home Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was 55.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hallsville Methodist Church. Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Purdin. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mahoney was born July 16, 1958, in Brookfield to William Fredrick and Juanita Mae Cokerham Schreiner. On June 19, 1976, she married Alan Mahoney in Shelby. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Hallsville Optimist Club and a former member of Hallsville Athletic Boosters.

Mrs. Mahoney was a beautician at Shear Image in the Hallsville area for many years.

Survivors include her mother, Juanita Mae Schreiner of Purdin; her husband, Alan, of Hallsville; a son, Wesley Mahoney of Hallsville; three daughters, Bridget Daly and husband Scott, Wendy Hendren and husband Jimmy, and Heather Cummins and husband Wayne, all of Hallsville; a brother, Jim Schreiner and wife Janet, of Chillicothe; a sister, Linda Larson, of Independence; and six grandchildren, Katelyn, Abbey, Macyn, Keagan, Griffin and Ava.

Her father died earlier.
