COLUMBIA — The Missouri Tigers will play Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 3 in Dallas.
The selection came Sunday evening; fans and players gathered at Mizzou Arena to watch the official announcement. Coach Gary Pinkel said, "It's good to be here doing this again."
Missouri last played in the Cotton Bowl in 2008, defeating Arkansas.
Missouri dropped to No. 9 in the Associated Press football poll on Sunday, but was No. 8 in the BCS rankings.
Florida State is No. 1 in the poll released Sunday, and Auburn is No. 2. The two teams will play for the national title.
