Hickman girls stay perfect with overtime win

COLUMBIA — The Hickman girls basketball team went to overtime and won Wednesday to stay undefeated. Hickman beat Blue Springs 50-41 at the Blue Springs tournament.

Hickman is now 4-0. It faces Blue Springs South in the tournament championship at 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

Emily Miller led Hickman with 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists Wednesday. Kendahl Adams added 10 points and four rebounds for Hickman.

Hickman outscored Blue Springs 10-2 in the second quarter for a 28-22 halftime lead, and Hickman was up 37-27 entering the fourth quarter. Blue Springs stormed back to force overtime with the score tied at 39.

Resilience came out as Hickman outscored Blue Springs 11-2 in overtime for the win.
