Missouri football adds 2 recruits, loses out on a 3rd

The Missouri football team added two more players to its 2014 recruiting class Tuesday.

Quarterback and defensive back Raymond Wingo (St. Louis University High School) verbally pledged to join the Tigers, and defensive back Logan Cheadle (Lee's Summit West) signed his letter of intent to attend MU.

Wingo, the younger brother of former Arkansas and current Buffalo Bills running back Ronnie Wingo, is expected to play cornerback for Missouri.

Cheadle was a member of the Lee's Summit West team that won this year's Missouri Class 5 state title. He is the cousin of actor Don Cheadle.

The Tigers lost out on another recruit, though. Dante Sawyer, a highly rated defensive end from Georgia, tweeted Tuesday that he would attend South Carolina. Sawyer picked the Gamecocks over Auburn and Missouri.

With Wingo's and Cheadle's announcements, Missouri now has 26 commitments for the 2014 recruiting class.
