Columbia College men's basketball loses first game

The No. 1-ranked NAIA Columbia College men's basketball team lost to Benedictine College 73-59 Wednesday.

Columbia falls to 9-1 on the year with the loss, its first regular-season defeat since Feb. 2, 2012. Benedictine improves to 10-1 with the win.

Columbia will play again Dec. 28 and 29 in the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic at Southwell Complex.
