Westminster's Joe James garners honors for the second straight week

FULTON — Senior Joe James was named Player of the Week for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference following the Westminster College men's basketball's run in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, organizes the tournament.

This was the second week in a row James received player of the week honors.

James scored 32 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had three assists and three steals in the win over Coe College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) that put Westminster in the championship game of the tournament against Mount Mercy.

Mount Mercy defeated the Blue Jays 73-53 in the championship game on Sunday.
