Tolton boys basketball wins overtime thriller

COLUMBIA — Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School boys basketball team, ranked No. 5 in Class 2, needed overtime to put away Eldon High School 81-75 on Thursday.

The win moved Tolton to 5-2 on the season.

Michael Porter Jr., Tolton's 6-foot-7 freshman who scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, hit a buzzer-beater to send the game into overtime.

Three other Tolton players were in double figures: Cameron Bagley scored 11, and Josh Boyer and Brennan Church each had 14.

Tolton is scheduled to host Calvary Lutheran High School at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
