Mary Niemeyer, December 14, 1937-January 10, 2014

Mary Niemeyer, 76, of St. Louis, Missouri (formerly of Boone County) died January 10, 2014 at her home in St. Louis.

Services will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mary was born December 14, 1937 in Boone County, MO to John Clayton and Beulah Mae Rice Ridgway.                                    

She graduated from Sturgeon High School. She was a secretary for most her career, serving as an administrative secretary for Alvey Manufacturing for 18 years.  She was also an executive secretary for Harry Kessler and typed his book “The Millionaire Referee.” She loved family and being together. She loved birds and her dogs that were her kids. 

She is survived by three daughters; Cindy Nelson (Rick) of Hallsville, Cheryl Disalvo of Newport News, VA, Chris Smith of Charlottesville, VA; a step-daughter, Joan Boyle (Jerry) of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Larry Rippeto (Brenda) of Hallsville; two sisters, Anna Ruth Yelvington of Columbia and Stella Mae Ervin of San Antonio; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, James “Jim” Ridgway and Harry Rippeto and a sister, Hazel Dean Hitt.
