COLUMBIA — Pat Ivey, Missouri's assistant athletic director for athletic performance, has been named the 2013 FootballScoop Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year.

Ivey presides over the strength and conditioning regimens for Missouri's varsity sports, including football. The 2013 Missouri football team went 12-2, ending the season by defeating Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl.

He was nominated for the award by coaches and athletic personnel — past winners of the award voted him this year's recipient.

Ivey played football at Missouri from 1993 to 1995 and completed his master's in health education in 2000 while serving as a graduate assistant and assistant director of strength and conditioning at Missouri.
