Columbia College men lose first conference game

The Columbia College men's basketball team fell to 7-1 in the American Midwest Conference with an 80-65 loss to Freed-Hardeman University. It was Columbia's first league loss since Feb. 2, 2012.

Tanner Sutton led the Cougars with 17 points. Columbia College returns home to face Benedictine University-Springfield Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
