Battle boys basketball ends 11-game losing streak

COLUMBIA — The Battle boys basketball team beat Fulton 63-60 on Tuesday. The win raised Battle's record to 3-14 overall and ended Battle's 11-game losing streak.

Battle used a strong second quarter to outscore Fulton 16-9 and take a 35-23 lead into the second half. Battle's lead was down to 46-41 entering the fourth quarter, but Battle held on for the win.

Daviante Ostrander scored a team-high 29 points for Battle. His teammate Trey Smith added 17 points.

Battle returns to action Jan. 30 for a 6 p.m. game at Eldon.
