Tolton boys basketball win fifth straight

COLUMBIA — A big second quarter allowed the Tolton boys basketball team to pull away from Jamestown for a 74-39 win Tuesday.

Tolton outscored Jamestown 27-13 in the second quarter to lead 44-24 at halftime. Tolton added to its lead in the third quarter and led 64-32 entering the final frame.

Michael Porter led Tolton in scoring with 27 points. Josh Boyer and Cole Buchanan each added 12 points for Tolton, and Ryan Chappell was also in double figures for Tolton with 11 points.

Tolton is now 10-3 overall.
