Columbia College women's basketball throttles conference foe

COLUMBIA — The No. 15 Columbia College women's basketball team squashed Benedictine University-Springfield 114-59 on Thursday at home.

After a loss Saturday, the Cougars (13-5, 9-1 American Midwest Conference) bounced back and set a season-high with 77 rebounds. Janairrika Bland had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Columbia College, and Danielle Duncan and Ashley Fisher added 18 points apiece.

The Cougars face another conference opponent next on Saturday as they head to St. Louis to take on Missouri Baptist University at 6:30 p.m.
