The ARC hosted its Bring Your Own Big Wheel event on Saturday. Kids raced on the track and received a certificate with the number of laps completed and candy as a prize for participating.

COLUMBIA — Columbia kids took to the track for the Bring Your Own Big Wheel event at the Activity and Recreation Center.

Children between 2 and 6 years old were able to bring their big wheels or other tricycles and ride around the ARC's upper track, which was closed off between 9 and 10:30 a.m.

More than 50 children participated in the event, which occurs every winter and again around Halloween. Each participant received a prize that included a certificate with the amount of laps completed and candy.
