COLUMBIA — A number of Missouri football and volleyball players appeared on the Southeastern Conference Fall Honor Roll released Thursday.
Twenty-six members of the football team were honored, as well as seven out of the eight eligible volleyball players.
Several criteria must be met for an athlete to make the honor roll.
First, a student athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.00 for the preceding academic year or as a cumulative total. If a student-athlete attends summer school, then his or her GPA for that term must be included.
Those eligible for the honor roll include student athletes receiving an athletics scholarship, recipients of an athletics award and non-scholarship athletes who have been on a varsity squad for two seasons.
The athletes are also required to complete 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours of non-remedial credit. In addition, they must have been a member of a varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
