COLUMBIA — Junior point guard Cheyanna Weaver led the way as the Battle girls basketball team toppled Kirksville 50-32.

Weaver led the team in scoring with 15 points. She has been a big reason Battle has won four games in a row, scoring 89 points in the team's past five games.

Also contributing was freshman center Maya Mouton, who had 14 points and nine rebounds on the night. Junior forward Ellie Johnson had a solid all-around game with seven points, six rebounds and three blocks.

With this win, the Spartans improve to 8-10 on the year. They will host Ursaline Academy at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
