MU graduate Richard Eugene Wilson was an electrical engineer

COLUMBIA – Richard Eugene Wilson of Glen Burnie, Md., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014. He was 58.

Mr. Wilson was born March 20, 1955 in Springfield, to parents Eugene E. and Mary A. Dunlap Wilson.

A graduate of Hickman High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from MU before earning a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Christian Church and was active in Columbia’s Acacia Lodge #602 A.F. & A.M.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Wilson of Columbia; two brothers, David E. Wilson and his wife, Libby, of Wildwood, and Thomas D. Wilson and his wife, Marjorie, of Thornton, Colo.; and a sister, Mary Jane Brack and her husband, Ron, of Keller, Texas.

His father died earlier.

A Masonic service is to be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. 10th St. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the same location.
