Columbia College women's basketball rides big halftime lead to easy win

Columbia College women's basketball took a double-digit lead into halftime and kept Park University at a distance en route to a 79-58 win Thursday at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

The Cougars (17-5, 13-1 American Midwest Conference) got 18 points and a 4-for-4 3-point shooting effort from Petrolina Chilaka.

Kayla Washington had 17 points for the Cougars, who are No. 14 in the NAIA. Their next game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Batesville, Ark., against Lyon College.
