Tolton girls basketball defeats Battle on final shot

COLUMBIA — With 15 seconds remaining, Tolton center Lacy Stephen caught the basketball in the center of the lane, pivoted right and scored with her left hand. The score gave Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic girls basketball a 38-37 victory over Battle High School Tuesday evening at Battle.

Stephen, a senior, led the Trailblazers with 12 points. Junior guard Cheyanna Weaver led Battle with 15 points.

Tolton (12-6) plays next against Sweet Springs Thursday. Battle (8-12) plays at Jefferson City Feb. 20.
