Weather forces Missouri softball to change location of its season opener

COLUMBIA — The No. 14 Missouri softball team changed locations for its season opener due to adverse weather conditions. The Tigers had originally planned on playing in the Jacksonville (Fla.) University Tournament, but they will will now join Baylor's Getterman Classic in Waco, Texas.
Missouri will begin the tournament against the University of Alabama at Birmingham at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by Iowa at 3 p.m. They will also face Drake at 3 p.m. on Saturday and then No. 16 Baylor at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The Tigers were originally supposed to face No. 25 Louisville, Jacksonville, Notre Dame and North Carolina in the Jacksonville University Tournament.
