COLUMBIA — Missouri's baseball team practiced in the Devine Athletic Pavilion on Wednesday, sliding to bases and chasing after baseballs in preparation for the start of its 2014 season.

The Tigers, whose season opener is scheduled for Friday, were supposed to play their first game of the year in Jacksonville, Fla. A winter storm in the southeast forced the team's flight Thursday out of St. Louis to be canceled.
