Columbia College women's hoops wins seventh straight game

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team beat Williams Baptist College 63-53 on Thursday to win its seventh game in a row.

The Cougars (19-5, 15-1 American Midwest Conference) got 12 points from sophomore forward Janairrika Bland in their lowest-scoring win of the season. Columbia College forced the Eagles into 24 turnovers and took a 33-19 halftime lead.

The Cougars play Hannibal-LaGrange University at 2 p.m. Saturday at home.
