COLUMBIA — Sarah Rebekah Curry, of Columbia, was arrested on charges of armed criminal action, domestic assault in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree and false imprisonment Tuesday night.

The Columbia Police Department dispatched officers to a disturbance at 6:35 p.m. in the 2400 block of Calico Lane north of I-70.

Curry prevented a male from leaving her house because he owed her money. She then asked her daughter to bring her a carving knife, which she used to chased the man around the house, said police public information officer Latisha Stroer.

The bond for armed criminal action has not been set yet, but there is a bond of $4,500 set for the domestic assault charge, $4,500 for endangering the welfare of a child and $500 set for false imprisonment.
