Carl L. Toalson Jr. owned and operated Toalson Glass, died at 56

COLUMBIA — Carl L. Toalson, Jr. of Columbia died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. He was 56.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 4–6 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.

Mr. Toalson was born April 24, 1957 to Carl L. Sr. and Virginia N. McBride Toalson in Columbia. He married Nancy Ravenscraft on Aug. 29, 1975 in Hallsville.

The couple owned and operated Toalson Glass for 20 years with Mr. Toalson's beloved dog, Lucy, by his side. He was a former president of Missouri Independent Glass Dealers Association. More recently, they owned and operated Tint by Toalson. He was an avid golfer, playing at the Columbia Country Club.

Mr. Toalson is survived by his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Katee Toalson of Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Janice Allen of Granbury, Texas, and Myrna Pointer of Texas; a brother, Robert “Little Buddy” Ravenscraft and his wife, Stella, of Rolla; several nieces and his granddog, Bailee.
