SHOW ME THE RECORDS: Missouri public school districts' information available
Monday, June 30, 2014 | 6:00 a.m. CDT
Each week, the Missourian highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives. For a complete list of Show Me the Records, go to http://columbiamissourian.com/records.
The records: The Missouri Department of Education provides a PDF file that lists and provides information about every public school district in the state on its website.
Why you’d want them: The document breaks down the number of schools per district and employees at each school. It also lists each district's contact information.
Where you get the records: To access the PDF, go to mcds.dese.mo.gov/quickfacts/Missouri%20School%20Directory/2014/School%20Directory%20(All%20Districts).pdf
How much will it cost: The information is free.
