Student reports rape early Sunday morning

COLUMBIA — A female student reported to MU's Department of Residential Life early Sunday that she was raped either late Saturday or early Sunday, according to a Clery Release issued Sunday afternoon by MU police.

The incident was reported to have occurred in the 800 block of Richmond Avenue.

MU officials were working with the victim to assure she received the assistance and resources she required, according to the release.

MU Police Captain Brian Weimer said in an email Sunday afternoon that there were no other details available.
