Tigers reserve Criswell will miss SEC Tournament

Reserve forward Tony Criswell will not join his Missouri teammates in Atlanta for the SEC Tournament, coach Frank Haith announced at his weekly press conference Monday afternoon.

Haith did not give a specific reason for the senior's absence.

“He’s got some things he’s got to take care of back here in Columbia,” Haith said when asked.

The Kansas City Star reported that Criswell was in court last week for failing to pay rent for his apartment.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound transfer averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in the 28 games he’s played this season. His absence further thins a frontcourt rotation that has not been productive this season.

Asked if Criswell could return to action in any potential postseason tournaments after Atlanta, Haith remained mum.

“He’s got stuff he’s got to take care of, so we’ll see how that goes,” Haith said.

Criswell was suspended earlier in the season for unspecified violations of team rules
