COLUMBIA — Wednesday marks the last day Boone County residents can register to vote in the April 8 election.
Registration must be completed online or postmarked by 5 p.m. Wednesday to be valid for the general municipal election, according to the Boone County Clerk's website.

The election will decide both municipal and education positions throughout the county. This includes positions on the Columbia City Council for the First and Fifth Wards and the Columbia School Board. Also up for a vote is a $50 million school bond issue.
A form on the Boone County Clerk's website will generate a PDF document. Residents then can mail, fax or email their completed PDF voter registration application to the Boone County Clerk's Office.
