Columbia police make arrest in Ultra Mart shooting case

COLUMBIA — Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the March 10 shooting at Ultra Mart, and police expect to arrest others, according to a news release.

Deazjon Ramon Brown was arrested Thursday morning, facing charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

At 11:42 p.m. March 10, police arrived at the Ultra Mart at 2102 Paris Road to find a 20-year-old man shot, according to previous Missourian reporting. He was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
