COLUMBIA — A 30-year-old Columbia woman was arrested by Boone County Sheriff’s Department deputies Friday on suspicion of drug distribution.

Over the past two days, the department served two drug-related search warrants — one Thursday and one Friday.

Noelle I. Cook was arrested Friday after deputies served a search warrant at 1071 Wilcott St. Deputies found evidence of methamphetamine distribution inside the residence, including a small amount of meth, digital scales and packaging material, according to a news release from the department.

Cook was arrested on one count of distribution of a controlled substance. She also had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

On Thursday, deputies served a search warrant at 1538 Bodie Drive after neighborhood residents complained of suspicious activity. Deputies found evidence of cocaine distribution inside the residence, but no arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.

Supervising editor is Zachary Matson.
