Columbia residents reflect on 'never-ending' winter

Saturday, March 15, 2014 | 8:24 p.m. CDT; updated 6:56 a.m. CDT, Monday, March 17, 2014

The last weekend of winter brought temperatures that were practically balmy. On Saturday, the high was in the 70s, and people around the city were enjoying the warm weather.

But, in typical Missouri fashion, the warm weather would not last. The temperature was expected to drop into the 20s overnight, and on Sunday, mid-Missouri could see up to an inch of snow and sleet, according to the National Weather Service.

While it was still warm out, we wanted to see how people were enjoying the weather and get their reactions to the seemingly never-ending winter. Here's what we found.
