Stephens College softball drops doubleheader

COLUMBIA — Kristen Gibson went 6-for-10 with four triples, four runs scored and five RBIs to lead Williams Baptist of Arkansas to a doubleheader sweep of Stephens College in American Midwest Conference softball action Saturday in Columbia.

Williams Baptist (9-9 2-2 AMC) won the first game 18-4 and then beat Stephens 9-1 in six innings in the second game. The Stars dropped to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the AMC.

The visiting Eagles racked up a combined 35 hits in the two games.
