Lola Mae Bourn started and owned Bourn Feed and Supply with her husband

COLUMBIA — Lola Mae Bourn loved cooking big family meals at her house and traveling the country with her husband in their recreational vehicle.

Mrs. Bourn died Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was 86.

She was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Gallatin to Sanford and Clarice Briner.

She graduated from MU in 1949 and married Robert "Bob" Bourn in December that same year. Together, they started and owned Bourn Feed and Supply, Inc. until they retired in 1987.

Besides cooking and traveling, she also enjoyed bridge, gardening and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by four children: Kevin Bourn and Kim Innes, both of Columbia, Kelly Isom of Kansas City, and Kent Bourn of Hurst, Texas. Nine grandchildren: Andrea Isom of Dallas, Texas; Katelyn Isom of Kansas City; Natalie Gale of St. Louis; Alex Isom, Nathan Innes, Jack Innes and Sam Innes, all of Columbia; and Matthew Bourn and Mason Bourn, both of Hurst, Texas.

Her husband, two sisters, Edna Nichols and Majiel Gatenby, and a brother, Doyle Briner, died earlier.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
