Dolores Louise Quick Geiger was Deputy Circuit Clerk for Boone County

COLUMBIA — When Dolores Louise Quick Geiger wasn't working as the Deputy Circuit Clerk for Boone County or with her antiques business, she enjoyed Missouri sports and traveling, especially to Pensacola Beach, Fla.

Dolores Louise Quick Geiger of Columbia died Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was 85.

She was born April 14, 1928, to Elmer Sylvester Quick and Ruth Lillian (Miller) Quick in Bluffton. She married Glenn Stuart Geiger in 1951.

After moving to Columbia when she was 9 years old, Mrs. Geiger graduated from Hickman High School and MU. She was Deputy Circuit Clerk for Boone County until she retired and opened an antique business with her husband. She was also a charter member of Broadway Christian Church.

Mrs. Geiger also enjoyed reading, history and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Geiger is survived by her husband, Glenn Geiger of Columbia; a daughter, Leslie Olson, and her husband, Mike, of Gladstone; a son, David Geiger, and his wife, Lisa, of Columbia; a sister, Ramona June Gorman of Kansas City; a brother, Charles Reginald Quick, and his wife, Shirley, of Kansas City; and two grandchildren, Alex Geiger and Megan Geiger of Columbia.

Her parents; her daughter, Marion Ruth Geiger; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Gorman, died earlier.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Christian Church, 2601 W. Broadway. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church, and burial will be at Memorial Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
