Marvin Lindsey Mack, M.D., 62, of Columbia, MO passed away died March 30, 2014.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 1 pm, Friday, April 4, with the funeral immediately following at Woodcrest Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marvin was born March 5, 1952 in Laurel, Mississippi to Regers and Lennie (Grady) Mack.
He joined the U. S. Marine Corp in 1972. In 1981 he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine residency in 1984. In 1989 he opened the Walk-In Medical Clinic where he treated patients until his death. He was not only a physician, but a friend to his patients. He enjoyed spending time with family and on his farms tending to his cows, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ramona Mack, and their children, Lindsay Beckett and her husband Andrew Beckett, and Dillon Mack; granddaughter Claire Beckett, all of Columbia. Other survivors include his mother, Lennie Mack of Laurel, Mississippi; five siblings Joe Rogers, Shelley Mack, Roger Mack, Melvin Mack, and Georgia Mack, all of Laurel, Mississippi. His father, Rogers Mack died earlier.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by this wife, family, friends and patients.
