COLUMBIA — A car accident Thursday afternoon on Highway 63 injured three people.

A grey Ford Taurus pulled out from Crofton Hall Road onto Highway 63 and T-boned a white Jeep Cherokee, said Gale Blomenkamp, battalion chief and spokesman for the Boone County Fire Protection District.

Two people from the Jeep, the driver and her 4-year-old son, were taken to University Hospital for minor injuries. The woman's other son in the car was not injured, and his father picked him up, Blomenkamp said.

The driver of the Taurus was also taken to University Hospital for minor injuries.

The Fire District, Missouri State Highway Patrol and paramedics from Boone Hospital Center responded to the accident.
