COLUMBIA — Behind top 20 performances from Emilio Cuartero and Euan Walker, the Missouri men's golf team finished sixth out of 15 teams at the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, which wrapped up Sunday.
In its final regular-season tournament before the Southeastern Conference Championship, the Tigers shot 32-over par as a team for a total score of 884 (298-290-296).
Cuartero, a senior, was Missouri's leading scorer for the seventh time this season. His four-over par tournament score of 217 (75-71-71) tied for 10th. He was one of six golfers to shoot at or below par in the third round.
Walker followed a team-best finish at Missouri's last tournament in Awendah, S.C., with a seven-over-par 220 (77-71-72) in Columbus. Walker's 17th-place finish was his fifth top 20 finish of the season.
The tournament was held at Ohio State University's Scarlet Course, where the par was 71.
Missouri's next competition will be the SEC Championship at the Sea Island Golf Club at St. Simons Island, Ga., on April 25 to 27.
