Full Text:

Opened in fall 2013, Truman's Closet is an MSA-run organization that provides business attire and formal wear for rental to all MU students, staff and faculty. An MU PawPrint is required for rental.

Truman's Closet was founded by Sean Joy, then director of student services for the MSA, after hearing the idea from then-MSA president Nick Droege. Joy hired the first executive coordinator for the organization, then-MU sophomore Kathleen Kowalsky, who then hired the first staff.

The staff at Truman's Closet comprises MU student volunteers, with new members hired each semester.

Customers at Truman's Closet can rent clothing for a variety of occasions, including interviews and fraternity formals. The organization has both men's and women's clothing as well as accessories such as shoes and ties.

All clothing at Truman's Closet comes from donations. Donations are accepted at Truman's Closet during open hours and at the Center for Student Involvement in the MU Student Center.

Truman's Closet also offers educational opportunities for its customers, teaching interview etiquette and providing links to resources on its Twitter and Facebook page.
