Shirley Mae Crane dedicated her life to her family

COLUMBIA — Shirley Mae Crane of Ashland died Monday, May 5, 2014. She was 74.

She was born Sept. 15, 1939, to Otto and Trellis Rice Acton. She married Earl A. Crane on July 12, 1958.

Mrs. Crane was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family.

Mrs. Crane is survived by four daughters, Julie Hanks and her husband, David, of Columbia, Janie Garrett and her husband, Glenn, of Columbia, Joanie Crane of Ashland and Joy Brumback and her husband, David, of Bunceton; two sisters, Mary E. Taylor of Columbia and Patricia Harmon of Clark; and eight grandchildren, Wesley Hanks, Patrick Hanks, Will Garrett and his wife, Katlyn, Samantha Garrett, Alexys Brumback, Cynthia Brumback, Brian Brumback and Brad Brumback.

Her husband, Earl A. Crane, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home, 601 N. Henry Clay Blvd. in Ashland. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Nashville Baptist Church, 355 W. Nashville Church Road in Ashland.
