Note: We have stopped accepting submissions this Mother's Day project.

A love of travel. A family heirloom. Thick, curly hair.

In honor of Mother's Day (which is May 11, in case you need a reminder), we'd like to hear about what your mother has passed on to you. Whether she's been gone for years or you talk every day, we'd like to share with our readers what you carry with you that you got from her.

Supervising editor is Joy Mayer.
