Namon Wright reportedly seeks release from letter of intent

COLUMBIA — Missouri signee Namon Wright is seeking release from his letter of intent after Missouri's recent coaching change, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Wright's coach at Pacific Hills School, Ivan Barahona, informed the newspaper of his player's decision Saturday. 

Wright, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Los Angeles, is a four-star recruit according to and a three-star recruit according to ESPN

ESPN reports Wright had offers from UCLA, Southern California, Arizona State, UNLV, Utah, Oregon, New Mexico State, Gonzaga and Florida State before committing to Missouri and signing with the Tigers.

Saturday's news comes five days after Missouri announced the hire of Kim Anderson and 16 days after Frank Haith left for Tulsa.
