COLUMBIA — On Saturday, Stephens Lake Park was filled with children's smiling faces, adorned with face paint, and activity booths the entire family could enjoy. The city held a dedication event for the new Children's Grove.

In honor of Earth Day, which was April 22, we asked several people at the event to share their favorite place on Earth. Here are some of the responses we received.

Ryan Worley said his favorite place on Earth is a Mizzou Tigers Game. His daughter Loreli said her favorite place is Disney World.

MU Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin said his favorite place is Phantom Ranch at the Grand Canyon. Phantom Ranch is the only lodging below the canyon rim and only can be reached by mule, by foot or by rafting the Colorado River.

Carlos Gray said his favorite place is anywhere he can have dinner with his family.
