Tolton baseball ends regular season with win

COLUMBIA — The Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic baseball team won 3-1 against Sturgeon on Tuesday to end the regular season. The win improved Tolton to 10-9.

Jon Steinmetz earned the win in relief. He threw one inning and allowed no runs with one strikeout.

Tolton broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the fifth inning that was driven in by senior Lane Reddick. Tolton added a run in the sixth inning.

Reddick went 1-for-3 with one RBI, Tyler Harrison batted 2-for-3 with a double and two runs for Tolton and teammate Clayton Neuner hit 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tolton starts postseason play at 11 a.m. Saturday against Russellville at New Bloomfield.
