COLUMBIA — Former Missouri forward Laurence Bowers, who was a member of the 2012-13 team, earned Rookie of the Year honors during his first professional season overseas.
Bowers, who plays for Hapoel Holon in the Israel-Winner League, was a starter and averaged 12.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists. Holon went 15-14 this season to make the league tournament as a 7-seed, where it lost 75-74 to Winner's No. 2 team. Bowers had 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in the loss.
