A bus crash Friday at the intersection of College Avenue and Stadium Boulevard caused non-life-threatening injuries for a passenger and a bus driver.

COLUMBIA A passenger and a bus driver were treated for non-life-threatening injuries Friday after two city buses collided at College Avenue and Stadium Boulevard.

The incident, which was reported at 2:07 p.m., was a "low-impact rear-end collision," said Teresa White, a spokeswoman for the Columbia Department of Public Works.

Both buses were on the city's Gold Route, which serves the MU campus area, White said.

Four units from the Columbia Fire Department responded, as well as a Boone Hospital Center ambulance, according to a news release from Columbia Transit. Responders found the two buses upright in the southbound lane.

Both injured adults were treated by ambulance personnel. White said officials with the city's bus system are investigating the cause of the accident.
