Police investigate armed robbery in southeast Columbia

COLUMBIA — Two armed men broke into a house in southeast Columbia and demanded money from the residents.

According to a Columbia Police Department news release, officers were dispatched to the house on the 2200 block of High Oaks Court shortly before 5 p.m. Friday. They learned that two armed men entered the house and ordered the residents to empty their pockets.

No one was injured during the invasion, and both suspects fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release. The suspects are described as two men who are between the ages of 18 and 20.

Columbia police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Columbia Police Department at 874-7652 or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
