FAYETTE — Ronald E. Tate, 66, of Fayette, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014.
He was born February 10, 1948, in Fulton, Missouri, to Melvin and Roseanna (Perry) Tate.
On June 7, 1993, he married Nelia Basa in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ronald was a postal worker for the United States Postal Service for 32 years. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball and football. Outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and gardening also piqued his interest. Ronald was proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, May 26, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Nelia Tate; step-daughter, Joselyn Staley (husband, Michael) of Columbia; son, John Lee Tate (wife, Kelley) of Rocheport, Missouri; brother, Melvin Tate, of Fulton, Missouri; grandchildren: Michaela Staley and Kaityln Grace Tate; sister-in-law: Beverly Tate of Mexico, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Tate, and his parents.
